"Eva Monheim gave a presentation to the Jenkintown Environmental Advisory Committee EAC on "Plant Communities" as a way to inform and engage residents in the planning for the new Cedar Street Park. She developed a proposed plant list and explained the thinking behind the selections.
The public response to the talk was overwhelmingly positive. However, her contribution was so much more than informational. She understood the elements of creating green space from start to finish, from aspirations, through seeking funding and soliciting citizen input through the creation of the maintenance plan. Jenkintown Borough looks forward to working with her and her colleagues at VEE - Verdant Earth Educators."

"Jenkintown Borough is in the midst of developing a new park in a residential area in our community.  Eva Monheim from VEE - Verdant Earth Educators helped our borough to create a robust plant list for the park which includes a rain garden and meadow for wildlife.  Ms. Monheim coordinated a team effort and worked flawlessly with all stakeholders as well as the Borough Engineer and Landscape Architect, to provide the Borough with the best possible plan for our park. All deliverable deadlines were met. The final park plan exceeded all requirements for the grant writing process and we are hopeful the degree of thought and attention to detail shown in the plan will reflect positively during the Grant funding review.
